Our mission
WHO WE ARE
We are a family-run organization, inspired by our ancestors and teachers! This started off as an exercise in educating, being creative, and empowering the local community. But, it has now grown to creating spaces, content, curriculum, and opportunities for seekers and students around the world.
In 2014, we built a community tutoring space for young immigrant children where they can be themselves, learn about their own cultures, and engage in creative exercises that emphasize their identities.
Then, in 2020, as professionals, creatives, and educators, Keshav & Raaghav furthered the work through media content, excursions, workshops, and school programs. From that moment to our current roles, we continue to work with schools and collaborators across the world.
Today, the endeavor is formalized into The Roots Movement, which is active in the education, academic, and media arenas. Contact us to learn more!

The Banyan Tree
The inverted banyan tree is a description in the ancient wisdom texts, Upanishads, which literally translates to “Come, sit near.”
Let us all sit together under the shade of this tree, where our branches celebrate our individuality…and we realize our inherent, collective existence together!
Moved by the contemplative philosophers, revolutionaries, educators, and ancient seers who actualized in others and themselves that “We are inherently free, unbound,” we started this experiment, The Roots Movement (Realizing Our Own True Selves).
It is an offering, an experiment that asks the question - how can the doer and listener/engager both grow as students in this journey of Self-study?
